Automatic Counts

We use the MetroCount counter/classifier system and have a number of staff trained in the installation and data processing using this system. Thus, our very experienced traffic engineers "design" how and where the road tubes are to be laid to maximize data accuracy, specifically for what the data is to be used for.

Client Toowoomba Regional Council

Six months of surveys across Toowoomba and regional areas using metrocount and radar equipment.  Both speed and volume reports produced for all counts.


Commonwealth Games Traffic Surveys 2015

Client Department Transport & Main Roads

Intersection counts and vehicle classification counts at 90 locations.  The surveys were designed to help analyse traffic flows for the upcoming 2018 Commonwealth Games. Over 240 metrocounters were installed for 15 days.

A two week count at eighty two locations each year, using MetroCount counters on some of the busiest urban arterial roads in Southeast Queensland.

Use of automatic road counters over 12 months at various locations around the Gold Coast Hinterland. Vehicle volumes, types and speed were collected. TDC has been commissioned to perform these surveys during 2010-11 & 2011-12.

Contracted to conduct surveys throughout the Gold Coast area through 2014 & 2015 and extended through 2016.


Pacific Highway Automatic Counts

Use of automatic road counters during School Holiday periods Dec/Jan 2015 for road upgrade Tintenbar to Ewingsdale.  37 locations were surveyed over Vehicle volumes, types and speed were collected.  Resurvey after road completion during School holiday period.
